Journeys and Milestones

Assign a Milestone

You have several options for assigning a milestone to a participant or group of participants. Choose the best option for where you are in the Platform and what your security role allows.

Assign a Milestone to One Participant

  1. Go to one of the following:
    • Participants page, open the Participant record, and click the Milestones tab.
    • People Lists page, and open the Milestones Assigned record.
    • Milestones page, open the Milestone record, and click the Participants tab.
  2. Click New, and add the Milestone information.
  3. Click Save.

Assign a Milestone to Many Participants

  1. If needed, create a selection of Participants.
  2. Go to Milestones, and open the Milestone record.
  3. Click the Participants tab.
  4. From the Actions menu, select Add Participants.

  5. Choose the Participants, or choose a selection from the drop-down list.
  6. Confirm your selection.
  7. Add the Milestone information.
  8. Click Save.

Milestones Assigned Fields

When you assign a Milestone to a Participant, a Milestones Assigned record is created.

Participant
The person who accomplished the milestone.
Milestone
The milestone that this person accomplished.
Program
The ongoing activity of the church that the person was engaged in when this milestone took place. For example, "Campus A Worship Service".
Date Accomplished
The date when this milestone took place.
Event
The event where or when this milestone took place.
Witness
The person who was present when this milestone was accomplished.
At Prior Church
Default is No. Set to Yes if this milestone pre-dates this person's involvement with your church.
Notes
Any additional notes you want to include on this record.
Followed Up
Set as needed based on whether someone on staff has followed up with this person.
Discontinue Journey
Default is No. Set to Yes if this person is not going to pursue other milestones in this journey.

If you have a Catholic system, you'll be able to add sacramental information to the milestone. These fields are hidden via Field Management in non-Catholic systems.

Scripture on Certificate
Optional scripture to include on the certificate.
Show on Certificate
Default is No. Set to Yes if you want this milestone to display on the certificate.
Certificate Person Label
Preferred label.
