Edit an Open Batch

Update open batch details.

  • You must have the Enter Gifts permission to perform this task. See Responsibilities for more information.

  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Realm. Then click Giving > Contributions.
  2. On the Manual tab, click Open. It may be selected by default.
  3. Click the ellipsis icon beside an open batch and select Edit Batch.
    Note: If you receive contributions with Engiven, you cannot edit batches that are marked with the Canceled or Expired status.
  4. Make any necessary changes to the following fields:
    • Description – Define the batch with a term or description (e.g. Sunday Morning Service)
    • Gift Date – Change this if you entered this batch on a different day than the gifts were received
    • Default Fund – When you enter new gifts to this batch, the fund applied to the gift will default to what you select here
    • Expected Amount – Set the total amount that you expect to receive from gifts in this batch
  5. If you want to add gifts to the batch, click Save & Add Gifts. Otherwise, click Save.

Delete an Open Batch

Delete an open batch that's no longer required or needs to be reentered.

  • You must have the Enter Gifts permission to perform this task. See Responsibilities for more information.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Realm. Then click Giving > Contributions.
  2. On the Manual tab, click Open. It may be selected by default.
  3. Click the ellipsis icon beside an open batch and select Delete Batch.
    Note: If you receive stock or cryptocurrency gifts, you cannot delete batches with the following statuses: Promised, In Process, Disbursement in Process, Paid, or Confirmed.
  4. Click Delete.
