Matched Accounts

View, edit, and forget accounts that were matched to scanned checks.

If you've enabled check scanning, accounts are matched to the checks you scan. From this list, you can monitor and adjust accounts when they change so that the only the most up-to-date accounts display .

Matched accounts improve the accuracy of checks scanned for contributors in the future.

Change the Individual Associated with a Matched Account

Select the contributor that a checking account belongs to.

  • You must have the Enter Gifts permission to perform this task. See Responsibilities for more information.
  • This option is not available for bank checks.
If a scanned check recorded the incorrect contributor, select the appropriate individual to replace them.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Realm. Then click Giving > Settings.
  2. On the Matched Accounts tab, click the ellipsis icon. Then, select Edit.
  3. In the Name or Giving Number drop-down list, enter the correct individual's name or giving number and select them.
  4. Click Save.

Mark a Scanned Check as a Bank Check

If you scanned a check as a bank check, mark it as one.

  • You must have the Enter Gifts permission to perform this task. See Responsibilities for more information.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Realm. Then click Giving > Settings.
  2. On the Matched Accounts tab, click the ellipsis icon. Then, select Edit.
  3. Select This is a bank check.
  4. Click Save.

Forget a Matched Account

Remove an account that was saved after a check was scanned.

  • You must have the Enter Gifts permission to perform this task. See Responsibilities for more information.

If a congregant's account has changed since you last scanned their check, you may want to remove the old one from this record.

  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Realm. Then click Giving > Settings.
  2. On the Matched Accounts tab, click the ellipsis icon. Then, select Forget Account.
  3. To confirm, click Forget.
