Post a Single Batch

Post a batch to save contributions to your contributors' records.

  • You must have the Post Gifts permission to perform this task. See Responsibilities for more information.

Important: After you post a batch, you cannot add new gifts to it.
When you finish posting contributions for the previous year, you do not have to close out the year; you can begin posting contributions for January of the current year.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Realm. Then click Giving > Contributions.
  2. On the Manual tab, make sure Open is selected.
  3. Click the batch you want to post.
  4. Make sure all gifts have been applied to the batch, then click Post.
  5. If Contribution Posting is available, the batch will post to the general ledger by default. If you don't want it to post to the general ledger automatically, clear the checkbox to skip it here and enter it manually later.
    1. If you want it to post, select a deposit date, reference number, and enter a deposit description.
  6. Click Post.

Post Multiple Batches

Post multiple batches for contributions toward different funds.

  • You must have the Post Gifts permission to perform this task. See Responsibilities for more information.

  2. On the Manual tab, make sure Open is selected.
  3. Select the batches you want to post, then click Post.
  4. If Contribution Posting is available, the batches will post to the general ledger by default. If you don't want them to post to the general ledger automatically, clear the checkbox to skip it here and enter them manually later.
    1. If you want them to post to your general ledger, select a deposit date, reference number, and enter a deposit description.
  5. Click Post.
