Widgets - September 2024

This release includes improvements to event widgets, group widgets, giving widgets, user widgets, and microsites.

Event Details & Registration

*From the Idea Board*: Fixed an issue where a future date could be entered for Attendee's Date of Birth on minor registrations. Now, a message prompts the user to enter a valid date.
Fixed an issue where the user was able to register an adult for minor registration. Now, only children (whose household position is either Minor Child or Adult Child) can be selected in the Register As drop-down list.
Fixed an issue where the user was able to register more people than allowed based on the event's Participants Expected field. Now, once that number is reached, the Add Another Person button and the ability to register are hidden.
Note: For paid events, the Participants Expected field is compared with registrants who have a Paid or Awaiting Payment status. If they do not pay within one hour, their registration is changed to Abandoned and their spot(s) become available for another person.
Fixed an issue where a promo code was being applied to another registrant if the discounted amount exceeded the event registration cost for the first registrant. Promo codes are now applied per registrant.
Fixed an issue where the Audit Log was not showing "(on behalf of: [User's name])" on records created by the event registration when an authenticated user registered themself or someone else. Note that the Group Participant record will still show "APIUser" only.

Fixed an issue where public events were showing up even though they were assigned to congregations/parishes with Available Online set to No.

Fixed an issue where full groups (when allowed in the widget configuration) were displaying at the top of the list instead of alphabetically.

Fixed an issue where the widget stopped responding and did not create a Pledge record if the amount included a dollar sign ($). Now, only numbers (with or without decimal points) are accepted in the Amount Per Donation field.

For the Online Directory on microsites, we updated the attribute hideaddress so it is set to false by default. This way, the Online Directory on your microsite works the same way as the corresponding widget, and addresses will display if they are allowed to be shared.

Fixed an issue where donations were not displaying if a Head of Household did not have Donor record. Now, they can see any donations made by a Head of Household whose Statement Type is set to Family.
