The Mission Trip Finder widget shows certain mission trips that you've configured, sorted by start date (soonest to latest). Congregants can search for available mission trips and sign up for a trip that fits their interests and schedule. And mission trip coordinators can manage upcoming trips, making sure the latest information is available for people to view. The best part is that you can display multiple mission trips at the same time!

• You can pre-filter the Mission Trip Finder by search criteria when it is embedded in a page. Available trip filters include:
  • Congregation
  • Keyword(s)
  • Ministry
• The Mission Trip Finder uses the COMMON, GlobalCongregationID configuration setting, so you can set up a church-wide congregation to share trips between campuses or parishes.
• Keyword search looks for a match in the trip's campaign name, description, program name, and/or ministry name.
• If an image is attached to the trip record, it displays in the widget. If there is no image, a stock image shows instead. See Configuring Mission Trip Finder for additional information about images.

Sections

Image

Default image attached to the Pledge Campaign record. If there isn't one, a placeholder image displays in the widget.

Mission Trip Title

The name of the mission trip from the Campaign Name field on the Pledge Campaign record.

Congregation

The congregation associated with the mission trip.

Trip Dates

The trip's start and end dates from the Event selected on the Pledge Campaign record. Only displays the dates, not the times.

Capacity

Shows the number of people who have registered to go on this mission trip and the maximum number of people who can register. This field only displays if a Maximum Registrants value has been defined on the Pledge Campaign record.

If the count of active and completed pledges is greater than or equal to the Maximum Registrants value, a "FULL" tag displays for the mission trip.

Trip Description

Information about the trip. This comes from the Description field on the Pledge Campaign record.

Actions

Search Trips

After you enter or select search criteria, click Search Trips to apply the filter.

Clicking this opens the Mission Trip Details widget (if you've configured it as the Target URL for the widget), where people can learn more about the selected mission trip.
