Volunteer Connect Teams

Attention: *EA feature in testing*: This section is under construction while our wonderful Early Adopters try things out!

If you're part of a team, it displays on the My Teams card to the right on your dashboard. Click the team name to see more information.

Info Tab

The Info tab displays information about the volunteer group, including its leaders and description. Leaders are able to edit the team's photo and description, which updates the Group record in the Platform once they click Save.

Leaders can see a card with the next upcoming schedule date on the right of Info tab. It shows the day, time, event, and number of roles filled out of the total roles. Leaders can click to view details of the schedule, which takes them to the Events/Schedules tab.

Volunteers Tab

This tab is visible to leaders and volunteers. Volunteers can see the contact information of other volunteers if it's entered on their Contact record and only if they've allowed it to be shared. If there's an image attached to the volunteer's Contact record, it displays in Volunteer Connect.

Leaders can see all available contact information as well as any compliance alerts that may affect scheduling. Leaders can select volunteers in the list to send messages to or remove from the team. For more on those actions, see Volunteers.

Events/Schedules Tab

This tab is only visible to leaders and primary contacts of the group. The volunteer coordinator can create a schedule for each event, with each schedule consisting of one or more dates.

For each date on the schedule, you can attach files to share with your team. This might include things like additional information about the event, instructions for volunteers, or a syllabus.
