Distance and Drive Time

This utility calculates the number of miles and driving minutes from the Household Address to the Household Congregation Address. There are two new fields in the Household Table: Driving Distance and Driving Time. These are populated automatically and can be used to pull a list of Households within X miles of their campus or Y minutes drive time.
Initial Setup and Requirements
ACS Technologies must install and enable this utility. Contact support to request this. See Billing Details.
Congregations must have a Location with an Address for the routine to compare them with Household Addresses. It is to your advantage to Geocode these manually at the outset. See the Map My Selection Tool.
A Bing API key must be configured. See Setup for Bing API Key.
Details
The routine will run automatically overnight and calculate values for 5,000 records.
Only Geocoded Addresses will be calculated, so this may take days to calculate values for all records in the database.
The following fields are updated in Households:
- Driving_Distance
- Driving_Time
These are cleared if an edit is made to the Address_Line_1 value in the corresponding Address record.
