Distance & Drive Time

This utility calculates the number of miles and minutes from a household's address to their congregation's address. Two fields in the Household record (Driving Distance and Driving Time) are populated automatically. You can also use these to pull a list of households within a certain number of miles of their campus or a certain number of minutes of drive time.
Initial Setup and Requirements
ACS Technologies must install and enable this utility. Contact Support to request this.
Congregations must have a specified Location (with an address) in order for the routine to compare them with household addresses. It is beneficial to geocode these manually at the outset.
Details
The routine automatically runs overnight and calculate values for up to 5,000 records. This only applies to geocoded addresses, meaning they were processed via the Geocode utility or someone manually entered the Latitude and Longitude values on the Address record. It may take a few days to calculate values for all records in the database.
The following fields update in Households: Driving Distance and Driving Time. These will be cleared out if you edit the Address Line 1 value in the corresponding Address record.
