Departmental Accounting
Departmental accounting helps you identify your organization's departments as they relate to accounts, charts of accounts, or funds. Each account is assigned a code to indicate which department it is. For example, accounts related to the church are designated as department 01, school as 02, religious education as 03, and so on.
Using this method, you can divide invoices and expenses into the proper accounting group. You can set up your account numbers with up to 99 departments as well as organization, section, and subdepartment codes.
