Parameters
- Letter: Select the letter you want to print, then click View Report. We provide three generic Letter records (First Communion Sacrament Notification, Confirmation Sacrament Notification, and Marriage Sacrament Notification), which are associated with their respective sacrament pages. You can edit and customize these, or you can create new letters and associate them with the relevant sacrament page to use in this report.
- Include Acknowledgment: Select Yes to print an acknowledgment of receipt that the parish of baptism can return to you. The default is No.
Click View Report to load any changes you make to parameters.
Notes
Consider the following regarding fields used in this report:
- The address that displays at the top is for the parish sending the notification. It comes from the Mailing Address on the Sacrament Place record that's associated with the selected sacrament. If that field is blank, the report uses the Sacrament Place's Address field instead.
- The parish name and location that display are for the parish where the sacrament was performed. These come from the Parish field on the Sacrament record. To customize how this displays on the letter, enter what you want to display in the Parish name and location field on the Sacrament record.
- Only two sponsors or witnesses print on the letter. The order they print depends on the Print Order field on the Sponsor or Witness records.
- Make sure the person you're printing has a Baptism record. If they don't, you can still create the letter, but the fields from the Baptism record will be blank.
