Reports - Released November 10-11, 2025

Two new reports, several big enhancements to standard statements and Catholic sacrament reports, plus additional enhancements and improvements.

Attention: After this release, you'll find updates to routines and notifications in the Platform release notes.

Reports

  • *NEW* Need a quick printout of who's on the schedule? Meet the Selected Schedule Printout report! We know that sometimes coordinators need a simple printout of who is serving, organized by role, to review for services. This report does just that!
  • *ENHANCEMENTS* We've made some changes to standard statements!:
    • You can now display donations with the stock and crypto payment types on standard statements! Donations with these payment types will be listed on statements with their amounts hidden, and they require no additional configuration - they will simply display on applicable statements.
    • You can now select to list any soft credit donations standard statements! Just make sure you enable this option in the Accounting Company record. These donations display on their own separate page of the standard statement.
    • Standard statements now display the breakdown of all distributions for each donation for Qualified Charitable Donations (QCDs). Now you and your congregants can see all the programs they donated to!
    • Deductible gifts, such as non-cash, crypto, or stock donations, are listed on their own page of the donor's standard statement, if applicable. Remember, statements only include pages that apply to the donor. Why include a blank page of soft credit donations if the donor doesn't have any, right?
  • You can now run the Selected Group Roster Multi-week report straight from a Group record! Use this report to print a roster for each group that has participants with columns for up to five weeks. Now you don't have to return to the Groups page to run it!
  • We've inserted page breaks into the Selected Group Directory report! This should make it easier to see the difference between pages of groups when you export or print the report to PDF.
  • The Invoice Printout report now includes the Address Line 2 address field! Now if a purchaser contact has the Address Line 2 field completed in their Household record or in the Notes field of the invoice, the Invoice Printout report will include this information. That way, you're printing more accurate invoices and know where to find your purchaser!
  • We've deprecated the Planned Contact Listing report.
  • In case you hadn't heard, we deprecated the Compare & Combine Security Roles report . We replaced it with the Combine Security Roles tool. If you haven't tried this tool yet and need to compare and combine some security roles, be sure to check it out!

Routines

  • The Standard Statement routines will now use your domain time rather than your server time. This is important because some church servers are in a different time zone than their domain, so some standard statement routines occurred during the day instead of running overnight. This change will help your routines run as intended, based on your time zone, for better accuracy!

Notifications

  • We've updated the Message Recap notification so that the notification only sends for Message records that are emails, or where the Communication Type ID field is set to 1 for email. Because SMS messages don't have action statuses (for example, errors, delivered, delivered and opened, and so on), it caused some errors in the Message Recap notification. Now you'll only receive message recaps for emails that meet the minimum number of recipients as set in the SERVICES, MessageRecapMinimumRecipients configuration setting.

Catholic Sacrament Reports

  • *NEW* Need an overview of personnel assignments? Meet the Selected Personnel Assignments report! This report offers for a live snapshot of personnel assignments for records you select, including roles, dates, locations, and more. This report is available on the Personnel and Personnel > Personnel Assignments pages in MinistryPlatform.
  • *ENHANCEMENT* We updated the language in the Selected Sacrament Certificate report to reflect the change from the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) to the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA). Now you can ensure that new adults that join the Catholic Church will receive their sacrament certificates with the updated language approved by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
  • *ENHANCEMENT* We've expanded the list of ways for the Selected Sacrament Notification Letter report to accept "United States" as the address's country. Previously, if you entered "United States" as the address's country, the report would leave out the country, as intended. But this posed a problem when people made Sacrament Place records with the Add/Edit Sacrament tool because the tool used "United States of America". Now when you enter the address's country, you can enter any of the following:
    • United States
    • United States of America
    • US
    • U.S.
    • USA
    • U.S.A.

This way, we don't discriminate when leaving the address's country out of the Selected Sacrament Notification Letter report.

Reminders

  • Portal access will end December 31. The Portal has served many churches for years. But now that its functionality is available in newer, modern tools like PocketPlatform, Connect Suite, and Widgets, we are disabling access. For details, see End of Portal Access.
  • Change to Life Apps: In the last Life Apps release, we changed the names of the Care Life and Group Life applications to Care Connect and Group Connect. Volunteer Connect and Need Connect already followed this pattern. These are now collectively known as Connect Suite. Check out the Life Apps release notes for details.
  • Are you more of a visual learner? Check out our video library for MinistryPlatform! We are constantly adding and updating new videos, and you can submit video topics that you'd like to see next. Check it out and let us know what you think!
  • Reminder about Support Hours: Support is available Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST/EDT. If you submit a case outside of these hours, including on a holiday, the case will be reviewed at the start of the next business day. If your concern cannot wait, you can call 843-413-8400 and leave a voicemail. We are notified and will work to assist you. Hourly rates may apply for off-hours assistance. For all the details, see Support Hours & Holidays.
