Dashboard Video Player

Embed videos so they play right on your dashboard.

Sometimes, the best way to communicate a message to your congregation is with a quick video. Using the Video recipe, you can embed a video and allow app users to play it directly on the dashboard, without taking them to a full-screen video. To do this, you can use the PocketPlatform App Manager.

For steps, see Edit Your App Dashboard. The recipe is called Video Player, and it's located under the Sermons/Media section. The Video URL you add must be a link to an mp4 or m3u8 file.
Tip: You can make a dummy sermon and use the Media Manager to generate the link using the required type.

When you use the correct type of link, the recipe loads the video and displays the first frame of the video. It's helpful if your video starts with whatever you want the thumbnail to show on the dashboard. Make sure you don't start your video with a blank or black screen fading in, or it could seem like your video recipe doesn't have a thumbnail.
