Bible Reader
PocketPlatform has reading plans so your congregants can easily see scripture passages day by day and track their progress. There are also scripture passages attached to sermons so congregants can follow along with the reading. But what if someone just wants to open the Bible while in your app?
The Bible Reader screen provides a way for app users to open the Bible, navigate to any book and chapter, and read at their own pace.
App users can tap the arrow beside the Bible book to navigate to any book and chapter available in the selected translation. They can tap the forward and backward arrow buttons at the bottom to navigate to the next and previous chapters.
Font Size
To provide a comfortable reading experience, app users can tap the text icon at the top right to change the font size of scripture passages.
Translations Option
You can choose whether app users have the option to select different Bible translations on the Bible Reader screen. Your church may decide to only show one translation or mix and match up to all four available translations: American Standard Version (ASV), Christian Standard Bible (CSB), English Standard Version (ESV), or King James Version (KJV).
By default, the Bible Reader screen uses only the translation that you've selected for reading plans and sermons. If you want to add other translations or change the translation you're using, reach out to Support and let them know which translations you want to display.
If your app is set up with multiple translations, app users can tap the arrow beside the translation abbreviation to select a different one.
