Record Insights
- *From the Idea Board*: Need a little more room for record insights? You're in luck! Users with System Setup permissions can configure insights to be Small (today's standard width), Medium, Large, or XL. No custom CSS required! Check out the Record Insights help topic for details and steps to set up the size parameter.
Registration Notifications
- You can now use additional merge fields in the body of the Event Registrant Message Notification. In the email template, the merge fields for [From_User_First_Name], [From_User_Nickname], and [From_User_Last_Name] now populate based on the From Contact of the template you're using.
Texting
- In the November Platform release, we increased the texting limit in the New Message Tool to 500 characters. But what if you don't want to gift all your users the ability to send ultra-long messages? Now, you can set the texting character limit by security role. While the default is 500, you can set it as low as the original 160 characters. If a user has multiple security roles, the New Message Tool will honor the highest limit they've been allowed.
- The Outbound SMS Numbers page now includes a Sender Label field. In addition to the Number Title, this helps you know which church, department, or group a message was sent from.
Schema
- We added schema to support a future Widgets enhancement. Keep an eye on Widget release notes for more info on that!
- We deprecated three fields: Display Name on User records, User Email on User records, and Vanco Signing Key on Congregation records. While you'll no longer see these in the Platform, this will not break any references you have to the fields in things like views.
