Deleting a Batch in MinistryPlatform

This section discusses why you might delete a batch in MinistryPlatform, including instructions to delete finalized and not finalized batches.

Someone with sufficient rights can delete a batch in MinistryPlatform under Contributions > Batches. However, we do not recommend this approach because it orphans the donations (leaving them ready for a batch) on the Donations page and requires more work. That said, maybe you want to leave the donations in the system to re-batch them later, as you might for donations originally made online.

If your batch is already part of a deposit, it's highly unusual to delete it. However, in this rare event, you may need to edit or delete that deposit record to complete the process.

Delete a Batch (Not Finalized)

You can delete a batch (and all associated donations) that have not been finalized in the Batch Manager Tool.
