Donation Management
Go Method synchronizes to and from MinistryPlatform (MP). MinistryPlatform tracks donations made in Go Method as a donation with donation distributions.
Go Method takes any online donations given to pledges in MP. However, we recommend recording cash and check donations in MP first. This helps Go Method to pick up and record the donation.

When contributors donate in Go Method, Go Method creates a donation in MP. Transactions can have multiple donation distributions associated to the item, depending on the allocation needs of participants. For example, if a group of three applies for an event and each person pays a $100 deposit, MP records one transaction of $300 in three separate donation distribution records, allocated to the three group members.
- Go Method checks MP periodically for new donation distributions associated with Pledges. For a donation distribution to be picked up, it must be associated with a Pledge in MP.
PushPay Donations
If you use PushPay for online giving, MinistryPlatform records transactions and not Go Method. Go Method communicates with PushPay to identify the payments made for events and participants and alters the donation distributions of the donation once PushPay writes the donation to MinistryPlatform.
Donations Mapping
Values or field names are slightly different between various software products. This table indicates how donation payments are matched during the two-way sync between Go Method and MinistryPlatform.
