Download and install your SpeedCheck scanner.

  1. Log in as a Windows administrator on your computer and install the latest Microsoft .NET framework. To download this framework, visit the Microsoft .NET website. Note: You must load this on each computer connecting to a SpeedCheck scanner. If you've already connected the scanner, disconnect the USB cable before downloading the installation (.exe) file .
  2. You must also have full administrative rights to your church management software. If you're an OnDemand user, you must have administrative rights to the local folder (CPI folder) that holds OnDemand files. This is usually stored at c:\ProgramFiles\x86\...
  3. Full administrative rights to the folder where the Silver Bullet files are saved.
  4. Ensure that your Windows operating system is up-to-date. Current supported Microsoft operating systems are Windows 10 or 11.
Warning: While this may work on older Windows operating systems, ACS Technologies strongly recommends that you keep operating systems with internet connections up-to-date, using only those still supported by Microsoft.
  1. Before installing SpeedCheck, make sure your scanner is unplugged and exit all open programs.
  2. Download the drivers for your scanner.
Remember: Before downloading the Epson or SmartSource files, you must have full security rights to the CPI folder on your computer and the Silver Bullet Technology folder.
  3. Click Save File.
  4. Double-click the .exe file for SpeedCheck, and click Run as an Administrator. Follow the instructions.
  5. Once complete, plug the USB cable from the scanner into the computer, and turn the scanner on.
  6. The computer should automatically search and find your new scanner.

Make sure your PC recognizes the scanner. You should see one of the following messages: "Driver successfully installed" or "Hardware successfully installed". If your PC doesn't recognize the scanner, please contact us at 1-800-669-2509.

The install adds an icon to your desktop, which lets you scan a batch of checks without opening your contributor software.

  • If you use OnDemand, you must use this icon to scan checks.

  • Desktop users can use the icon on the desktop or scan checks in your software.
