Add an RSVP Group Event

Create an RSVP event for your group.

When event creation for a group is enabled, group leaders and members can create RSVP events. These events display on the group newsfeed and the event list, and group members can RSVP to the event to attend.

You can add attachments to the event, such as a form or a flier.

Note:

Realm accepts most file types with the exception of some MacOS files (e.g. Pages, Numbers, Keynote).

There's no limit on the size of a file you can attach in Realm. However, depending on your Internet connection and upload speeds, uploading a large file may time out.

RSVP Group Events for Leaders

Create an RSVP event for your group.

  1. In the top-left corner, click your ministry hub then Connect. Then click Groups.
  2. Click the group's name.
  3. To add a post, click Send Communication and click Create an Event.
  4. Select the group you want to create the event in, then click Next.
  5. To pin the event at the top of the group newsfeed, click the pin icon in the top right corner.
  6. Enter an event title and description.
  7. To add a photo to the event, click the add image icon, then select the image file.
  8. To edit the image, select either the Card or Thumbnail view, then click Edit. Use the scroll bar to resize the image and click the rotate image iconto rotate it. When you're done, click the checkmark icon.
  9. If you want to remove the image, click the delete icon. You can add a new image if needed.
  10. If you have an attachment, click Attach files.
  11. Enter an event time.
  12. If this is a recurring event, select how often the event repeats from the Repeats drop-down menu.
  13. Enter an event location. If you are hosing the event online, enter the meeting URL or information next to Online Meeting Link.
  14. To add an item list to the event, click + Add item. Enter the item description and the quantity.
  15. Click Advanced Options and select options that apply to this event.
  16. To turn comments on or off, click Allow Comments.
  17. Click Post.

RSVP Group Events for Congregants

Create a RSVP event for your group.

  1. In the top-left corner, click your ministry hub then Connect. Then click News.
  2. To add an event, click the calendar icon in a circle.
  3. Select the group you want to create the event in, then click Next.
  4. Enter an event title and description.
  5. To add a photo to the event, click the add image icon, then select the image file.
  6. To edit the image, choose either the Card or Thumbnail view, then click Edit. Use the scroll bar to resize the image and click the rotate image iconto rotate it. When you're done, click the checkmark icon.
  7. If you want to remove the image, click the x icon. You can add a new image if needed.
  8. If you have an attachment, click Attach files.
  9. Enter an event time and location. If you are hosting the event online, enter the meeting URL or information next to Online Meeting Link.
  10. To add an item list to the event, click + Add item. Enter the item description and the quantity.
  11. To turn comments on or off, click Allow Comments.
  12. Click Post.
