Scenarios for Giving/Pledges and Marriage
Possible scenarios after marrying individuals with existing profiles.
When marrying two individuals with existing profiles, whether or not their pledges and giving are combined depends on the data in their separate records. Here are some possible scenarios.
When the Giving Number profile field is not enabled:
Individuals do not have giving numbers. To combine giving, select the shared giving check box on the Giving tab on an individual's profile once the records are merged. If you clear this check box after giving is combined, all gifts are kept on the respective profiles they were originally assigned to.
When the Giving Number profile field
is enabled:
