Manage Students at Year End
You only need to run the processes below that meet your specific needs. You don't have to run them all at one time. For example, you may run Grade Promotion to get a count of students in a certain grade for next year, even if you aren't ready to remove the data.
Plan the sequence of processes ahead of time, and log which ones you complete. This helps avoid problems like having to remove records that weren't deleted at the beginning of the year, resulting in duplicate information.
Careful planning is the key to successful year-end processing!
- Formation Remove/Advance – Delete old information and add new information. This is the main year-end process.
- Grade Promotion – Promote students to the next grade level. You can run this during the Remove/Advance process or separately.
- Automatic Class/Session Promotion – Promote students from one session to another. This process is optional.
