11.2G Release

If you're part of the Preferred Client Program, you can download the latest desktop version in the Client Portal.

PDS Church Office 11.2G, originally released in September 2025 and re-released for desktop and OnDemand 10-16-25, offers the following enhancements.

New and Improved Features

Fund Summary
  • Now, you can quickly view a summary of fund information—right from your Home Screen! Click Fund Summary, then click a tab to view a payment summary by activity, a payment summary by season, a summary of current funds, or a summary of all funds. You'll only see the funds you have access to. For the payment summaries, there are options to view the data in different ways. You can also export any of this information if needed. For steps, see View a Fund Summary.

    Tip:
Better Access to How-to Videos
  • We're adding more and more videos to the PDS Video Library, and now, you can access them from within your program! Click Quick Nav. at the top left, and click the Videos tab. Matches also display on this tab when you enter a term in the Find field. Click a video title to open that video in your browser.

Quick Navigator showing a search for "registration" with the online registration videos highlighted with a link to each video

  • You may notice a new button on several windows throughout your program. When you click Watch a Video, your default browser opens with a video that's related to the feature or process you were looking at. You can also explore the how-to steps in the help topic as well.

Print Anniversary Letters Per Couple
  • When printing anniversary letters from the Reminders dialog box, you can now print one letter per couple or one per individual.

  • Based on your selection, make sure you set the Inside Address Style so the appropriate name is used on the letters.

Data Health
  • We improved several things in the Data Health process. Now, you can print or save the list of problems found so you can come back to them later. The process now identifies families, members, fund activities, and keywords that have been marked "Unknown" during a data fix and displays them at the bottom of the list. And, only "Unknown" family records affect your data health percentage.
Tip: Don't want to see the Show Data Health button? You can hide it from your Home screen.
Improved Data Cleanup
  • You can now see which member grades don't match the formation grade. Then, you can choose to make the values match either the Grade or Formation Grade. For more information, see Clean Up Your Data.

  • We also added a way to combine user keyword lists. This is useful if you have two lists that have similar values and are used for the same purpose. For more information, see Clean Up Your Data.

Excel/OpenOffice Export Message
  • We improved the way the report export to Excel or OpenOffice handles locked files. When the program detects that the file you're trying to export to is locked, you're prompted to choose a different file name. Click Retry to rename the file and try again.

Text Color Hints
  • Many users know that a record shown in red text indicates that it is inactive. But what about other colors that are used throughout the program? We added helpful explanations for all colored text so you know exactly what it means.
  • For example, in Payment/Donation Entry, you can now see that the fuchsia text indicates when a family has an ISF or Ignore activity in their fund entries.

Example showing the Payment/Donation Entry grid with the family's name in fuchsia with the note "(Has ISF or Ignore)"

Postal Rate Changes
  • The USPS updated postal rates, effective July 13, 2025. These changes were made in your PDS program and released on Monday, July 14. Next time you run EZ-Mail, you'll receive a message that allows you to download the new postal forms. For details on the changes, see 2025 Postage Price Changes (USPS website). Note that some of the rates are no longer used. These have been removed from PDS.

Corrections

We fixed the following issues that affected some of our customers:
  • If you created a new family record while you were adding a member, the head and spouse were displaying twice in the Member drop-down list.
  • The eGiving quick posting was locking up when trying to import from a Parish Giving file.
  • If you did not select the option to post fund keywords during Pledge Card Entry, existing fund keywords were being removed from a family's Rates/History/Keywds record.
  • After creating an online registration form, the introduction text was displaying twice at the top of the form.
  • An error message displayed when printing a Notification of Marriage if either the bride's or groom's marriage or baptism had been marked invalid. Now, in this case, the report prints "<Invalid>" beside the date.
