11.2F Release

If you're part of the Preferred Client Program, you can download the latest desktop version in the Client Portal.

PDS Church Office 11.2F, originally released in June 2025 and re-released for desktop and OnDemand 7-15-25, offers the following enhancements.

New and Improved Features

Use Values from Last Time
  • When carrying forward balances and prepayments into a new fund period, do you typically select the same options? For example, you may carry forward a certain activity the same way. Now, you can pull those values from the last time you ran the process. Select the fund to use, then click the Use Values From button. You'll have a chance to make changes before processing the data.
    Note: This feature relies on data from the last time you ran the process using this version. So, the button will not display until you run the process at least once after updating to 11.2 F – which may be next year.

Data Health
  • Introducing a way to evaluate the health of your PDS data! From your Home Screen, click Show Data Health. The program examines your records and calculates a Data Health score—the higher the percentage, the healthier your data! If problems are found with your data, you have the chance to fix them. For more details and instructions, see Check Your Data Health.

Report Selections
  • When you review report selection matches, the text is now colored either red or green to show which conditions failed and which ones passed. This provides a quick visual indication so you can see what will be skipped and what will be printed.

Add Families During Registration
  • When pulling information from online registration forms, you can now add a new family. This can be useful if the registering family is not in your system yet or if the member of an existing family wants to register as their own family. Select the family, then click Add as New Family. The new record is added with all the information from the registration form, along with a new ID number.

Import Family Letters, Visits, and Other Contact
  • Using the Import Family Letters, Visits, Etc process, you can now import information about family interactions that are tracked in a .csv file. This is useful if you send communication outside of PDS but still want to record those interactions in PDS. When you import the information from your file, each family is matched based on the family ID. You can also match families manually if needed.
Log Exported Communication
  • Do you export family information for communication purposes? For example, you might export a .csv file with names and addresses to use in another program that sends letters. Now, you can log those in the Letters, Visits, Etc. window so all your family interactions are tracked in one place! To do this, select the Log Export option in the Export Properties window when running your report.

  • Once your export is complete, you're prompted to log the report as usual. Click Log the Records to add this item to the selected families' Letters, Visits, Etc. window.

Key Command to Add New Lines
  • There are several places in the program where you can press Ctrl + Enter to move your cursor to a new line. This way, you can provide whitespace in your comments for better readability. We've added a hint in these areas so you know how to do it!

Cleanup Worksheet
  • In the Clean Up Data process, we added more information to the Totals Worksheet that you can print in the first window. You can now see details for duplicate sacrament places, sacrament name list, phone type list, email type list, and marital status type list. When you click Print Totals Worksheet, you're prompted to print details. If you want to see the detailed information, click Yes.
Updated Message
  • When we're uploading new files for release, the program can't check for updates. We updated the message that displays to clarify that.
