Action Needed Emails

If you receive an email about any of the following items, you'll need to take action:
  • Renewing your membership
  • Accepting new agreements and licenses for App Store Connect
  • Trader status
  • Billing

What You Need to Do

Renewing your membership:

Apple requires all developers to renew their developer account each year. If the PocketPlatform team helped you set up your developer account, we will take care of this for you. Otherwise, it should only take a few minutes for the developer account holder to renew your membership.

Accepting new agreements/licenses:

A few times a year, Apple releases a new Program License Agreement that the developer account holder must accept. For steps, see Accept Apple's Latest Agreement.

Trader status:

In 2024, Apple established a requirement for all developer accounts to provide their "trader status" to submit new apps or app updates. This requirement is connected to regulations introduced by the European Union. If your organization is a non-profit, you are most likely not a "trader". To fulfill this requirement, navigate to your App Store Connect Account, select Business at the top, and select non-Trader.

Billing:

Most of our customers have a non-profit fee waiver applied to your Apple developer account. In rare cases, you may have a paid developer account that requires annual payment. If so, you may receive emails about updating your payment method for the account. Follow the instructions in the email to keep your account up to date. You can also choose to opt in to auto-renewal under your Membership details, which will charge the default credit/debit card associated with the Apple ID each year.
