Giving Bands or Levels
If you want donor-related reports to include giving levels (also called giving bands), set the appropriate amounts in the Configuration Lists page. You should set a minimum of two giving levels and can add as many as you need (without getting too crazy, that is).
Questions that giving levels can help answer:
- How many donors do we have giving at each giving level?
- How many household do we have giving at each giving level?
- How many donors gave at this level between these two dates?
- At what levels do our 50-somethings primarily give?
- At what levels do our building fund donors give?
- How much of our giving comes from people ages 30 to 39 who gave between $1,000 and $2,000 in 2025?
Giving levels are used by the following Contributions Reports:
- Giving Band Analysis
- Giving Band Export
- Giving Band Summary
Set Amounts for Giving Levels
MinistryPlatform has a few default giving levels, but you can add other levels to meet your needs.
- In grid view, click the magnifying glass
next to the List Name column, enter "giving", then press Enter.
The search results show any GivingLevel values that are set up in your system. - Click Save.
You can use these giving levels in reports related to donors.
