Review Your Fund Activities

For each fund group, confirm there is only one Charge activity and at least one Payment activity.

Why is this required? In PDS, you can have one fund group with multiple fund activities of the Charge function. When your data is migrated to MinistryPlatform, each Charge must be in its own group, along with one Payment activity.

What does this step entail? You'll review your funds, looking for any that have more than one Charge per group. If you don't find any, you can move to the next task. If you find some, you'll need to add new groups, move each Charge to its new group, then move or add a Payment activity to the new group.

How long will this take? This process can take some time, so be sure to plan accordingly. If you need assistance, call PDS Support at 1-877-737-4457.

  1. On the Administration tab, click Fund Setup.
  2. Locate the fund you want to review.
  3. In the grid, review each group for activities that have a function of Charge.
  4. For groups that have more than one Charge activity:
    1. Click the add icon green plus sign above the grid.
    2. Enter a name for the new group. This can be the same as the activity name for clarity.
    3. Repeat this for each Charge activity so that each one has its own group.
    4. If needed, rename or remove the original group.
    5. Click the reorder icon blue arrow pointing up next to blue arrow pointing down.
    6. Move each Charge activity under its respective group.
    7. Move each Payment activity under its respective group.
    8. Click Save/OK.
  5. Confirm that each fund group has only one Charge activity and one Payment activity.
  6. Repeat these steps for each fund that will be migrated to MinistryPlatform.
  7. Make a note of the date you completed this process.

All funds have only one Charge activity and one Payment activity per fund group.

After you've reviewed your fund activities, you can assign member phones and emails.
