Impersonating Users

Learn about the impersonate a user feature in MinistryPlatform.

Sometimes it's helpful to see exactly what another user sees so you can help them with what they need to do. To do this, you can impersonate that user! Use this feature to troubleshoot issues, provide training, set appropriate security roles, help a person complete a task, and more.

Note: When you impersonate another user, any tools you use are based on your permissions, not the permissions of the person you're impersonating. For example, if you use the Transfer Selection tool, the selection transfers to your page, not the page of the person you're impersonating.
CAUTION: Use care when allowing others to impersonate other users. This is typically reserved for SPoCs or other high-level users.
