Create a Track

Use Dynamic Fields in a New Track

Personalize your track messages to your recipients using dynamic fields.

  • You must be a Growth Method administrator or a Track Admin to do this.
Use dynamic fields in your track's communications to personalize your messages to your track leaders without having to send a message to each leader individually. For example, you can send an email using the first name dynamic field that tailors your message to each person's first name. So instead of sending an email to everyone in the track that says "Dear valued congregant", your leaders receive an email that, for Sally Johnson, says "Dear Sally", for John Anderson, says "Dear John", or, for Mary Smith, says "Dear Mary".
  1. Click Tracks > Tracks.
  2. Click New Track.
  3. Build the track from scratch or select a track template and click Preview Template.
  4. Click on a track communication, such as a text message or email.
  5. Draft your message. To insert dynamic fields into your message, click Insert Dynamic Field and select a field from the drop-down list.
    The dynamic field you inserted appears in the message box within two brackets.
  6. When finished crafting the message, click Close.
