Add Dynamic Fields to Existing Track Communications

Update a track's email and/or text messages to include dynamic fields that change depending on who they are sent to.

  • You must be a Growth Method administrator or a Track Admin to do this.
Use dynamic fields in your track's communications to personalize your messages to your track leaders without having to send a message to each leader individually. For example, you can send an email using the first name dynamic field that tailors your message to each person's first name. So instead of sending an email to everyone in the track that says "Dear valued congregant", your leaders receive an email that, for Sally Johnson, says "Dear Sally", for John Anderson, says "Dear John", or, for Mary Smith, says "Dear Mary".
  1. Click Tracks > Tracks.
  2. Click the track you want to edit.
  3. Click Comms.
  4. Click the message of the communication you want to edit.
  5. Click the gear iconand click Edit.
  6. Click Insert Dynamic Field and select the field you want to insert from the drop-down list.
    The dynamic field you inserted appears in the message box within two brackets.
  7. Click Save.
