Release 2026.16 continues background check and pre-approval stabilization in Go Method, with corrections to duplicate background checks, background check status on trip profiles, background check fees for reserved seat owners, and who can see pre-approval alerts.

Pre-approval Reliability Review
Pre-approval holds an applicant for review, notifies the administrators responsible for that review, and keeps the applicant off the trip until a decision is made. Over the past several releases we corrected individual gaps in that process as they were reported. For this release, we stepped back and completed a full review of how pre-approval works end to end.
- The review looked at every point where an applicant is held, every notification sent to a reviewer, and every action that can move an applicant past a hold.
- The findings are being addressed as a coordinated set rather than one correction at a time, so the improvements hold together and can be verified before they ship.
- Work is prioritized around the outcomes that matter most: an applicant who should be held is held, the right reviewers are notified, and only those reviewers can approve or reject.
This work is underway behind the scenes, and there's nothing you need to change. You'll see the resulting improvements in this and upcoming releases.
Background Check and Pre-approval Corrections

| Seat owners were charged for a background check that was already paid for | When a seat owner assigned seats, the payment screen asked them to pay a background check fee for a team member who already had a background check on file. Go Method now recognizes an existing background check, whether it's complete or still waiting on a result, so the fee isn't charged again. |
| A background check ran more than once for the same applicant | A background check could be submitted several times for the same applicant before a result came back, which delayed the result and could show a different background check on the applicant's trip profile than on their global profile. Go Method now runs the check once and reports the most recent result in both places. |
| Administrators who don't review pre-approval could see stop alerts | Global administrators who weren't assigned to review a pre-approval step could still see the red pre-approval alert on an applicant, along with the reason the applicant was held. That alert now appears only to the administrators assigned to review the step. A related correction in the previous release limited who could act on those applicants; this one limits who can see them. |
