Video Style Guide

How to Embed a Video in a Topic

  • You need access to Heretto to complete this task.
Learn how embed a video into a Heretto topic.
  1. Retrieve the embed code from Vimeo.
  2. Open the topic in Heretto where you want the video to show.
  3. Click on the left side of your topic page.
  4. Type in or select the Section Divider element.
  5. Add a title to your section.
  6. Click again, then type in or select the Paragraph element.
  7. Clickin the top right-hand corner of your topic page to view the source code for the document.
  8. Within the paragraph element, manually type in the Object Data element.
  9. This should look like this:
  10. Copy the embed code you have and paste it within the object data quotes.
  11. This should look like this:
Now when you open this topic in Heretto, you'll see the video embedded. Just like when new documentation is added, make sure you merge and deploy the topic with the video to publish it in Help.
