Your Groups
Find a group to join, see who else is in your groups, and keep up with your children's groups.
Joining a group is one of the simplest ways to get more involved at your church. Your groups are listed together in one place, along with the groups your children are in.
Where to Find Your Groups
Go to Community, then click Groups. From there you'll see three tabs:
- Your Groups — the groups you're a part of. Click a group's name to see its details, events, posts, and the other people in it.
- Find Groups — the groups at your church that are open to new people.
- Your Children's Groups — the groups your children are in, if you're listed as their parent or guardian.
Joining a Group
You don't add yourself to a group directly. You send a request, and the group leader accepts it. Once they do, the group appears under Your Groups.
A leader or an administrator can also add you to a group without a request — for example, when you sign up for a class in person.
Leaving a Group
You can't remove yourself from a group. Your church keeps the roster and the attendance history that goes with it, so only a group leader or an administrator can take someone off a group.
To leave a group, ask the group's leader to remove you. If the group doesn't have a leader listed, ask an administrator at your church instead.
What You Can Do in a Group
What you can see and do depends on whether you're a guest, a member, or the leader — and on the privacy settings each person chose for their own contact information.
Keeping Up With Your Group
Posts, messages, chat, and notification settings work the same way for every group and serving team, so those steps are written once for everyone. See Group & Team Communication.
