Group & Team Communication

There are several ways to communicate with your group or team.

When you join a serving or volunteer team, you become a part of a group of volunteers who work together to support your church. Because communication with other volunteers and your team leader is very important, there are several options for you to connect with others on your team. However, posting of messages and photos must be turned on at the team level. If these are not allowed, team members can only read posts, but may not be able to respond to them or create new content. You may find that large groups have more restricted communication features, while smaller ones allow replies, sharing of images and so forth.

  • The Newsfeed is like digital bulletin board where you can create posts and share pictures to other people in your team. All volunteers on the team can post, view other volunteer's posts and respond to the posts either with a comment or a like.

  • Emails and text messages land in the your app's inbox. They also come to the email you have on your profile. If your church/parish, or organization uses texting, you will receive the text on your mobile device, but if it exceeds the maximum allowed characters, you'll receive a link in the text that allows you to read the full message in your inbox. a
  • Teams also can connect through real-time chat. If you need to communicate something quickly with your team, you can leave a message in your team's chat.
