PocketPlatform - Released May 19-20, 2025

This app store update includes enhancements for the event calendar, media player, sermon notes, and more.

  • It's back by popular demand! You can choose to display events in a monthly calendar. With this layout, app users can easily navigate between months, see which days of the month have events, and tap to see the events happening on a particular day. The events also display in a list below the calendar, starting with today.

  • If you prefer the new monthly layout over the usual event list, reach out to Support to change it.
Tip: Want a way to toggle between the event list and calendar? You can set up a list of lists. Then, have Support point to the list of lists from your app menu.

Event Registration

  • When an event's product and options don't include a promo code, we no longer display the Promo Codes card. (This now matches the way it works in widgets.)

FastPass and Self Check-In

  • We enhanced the FastPass recipe to optionally display only a graphic instead of a graphic with action text.
  • We enhanced the Self Check-In recipe to optionally include the graphic attached to the Event record.
  • We corrected an issue in the Self Check-In recipe when it was used with the Campus/Parish Selector.

Geolocation

  • Need to show certain content based on a user's current location? Now, recipes can display if app users are within the radius or outside the radius of a specific geolocation.

Media Player

  • We received feedback that the buttons on the video player were small and hard to use. Some iPhone users also mentioned that scrubbing a video (that is, dragging the video progress bar back and forth) is difficult at times because the iPhone app switcher notch interferes. We've addressed these issues and improved the way the media player looks!

Sermons

  • You can add an optional screen called My Sermon Notes to your app. It provides a convenient way for your app users to keep track of their saved sermon notes. Contact Support to add this screen to your app navigation.

Example showing the My Sermon Notes screen listing the sermons that the user has taken notes for

  • The Latest Sermons recipe now displays as a list of sermons or a scroller. (Note that this is for the Latest Sermons (plural) recipe, which shows more than one sermon. There is a different recipe called the Latest Sermon (singular) recipe that only shows one, which would never display as a scroller.)
  • We corrected an issue where some instances of the Latest Sermon recipe were clickable at the top of the card but not the whole card.
