Learn about personalized emails, group event reminders, an updated communications menu, and volunteer schedule updates when a group goes into recess, released on August 5, 2026.
Personalize Your Emails
You can now drag and drop name fields into the subject line and body of an email, so each recipient sees their name instead of a generic greeting. Available fields include first name, last name, and a formal or informal salutation. Use them when you email from a query, from a group, or in a registration event email. See Emails.
-
Greet everyone by name in a single mass email instead of sending one-off messages.
-
Get better open and response rates, because the email reads like it was written for that person.
-
Choose the tone that fits your church with a formal or informal salutation.
-
Use the same fields across query emails, group emails, and registration event emails.
Group Event Reminders
Automated event reminders now work for group events, not just registration events. When you add or edit a group event, you can turn on a reminder so group members receive an email before the event with the group and meeting details, the date and time, the location, and any RSVP items to bring. See Add a Group Event.
-
Improve attendance by reminding members close to the event, not just when it was created.
-
Give members a chance to update their RSVP after they see the reminder.
-
Save leaders the manual follow-up posts and messages.
-
Remind members what to bring, so they show up prepared.
Updated Communications Menu
The Communications menu has clearer names and a more logical order: My Communications, Text Messaging, Opt-Out Dashboard (previously Opt-Out Management), Constant Contact (previously Advanced Email & Text), and Links & QR Codes. See Communications.
-
Find the tool you need faster, because the menu names match what each page does.
-
Recognize the Constant Contact integration by name instead of looking for Advanced Email & Text.
