Invitation Models

By selecting an invitation model, you can decide if individuals can sign up for a Realm account on their own, or if an approved member of the staff must send individuals invitations. We’ve added more types for you to choose from and made it easier for you to tell which invitation model you’re using.

Note: As a measure of security, we've set anyone using the open invitation model to the invite only model. However, you can switch between invitation models at any time.

View and change your current invitation model. You can view your invitation model and a description of how the model works by going to Account Summary. You can change your model type by clicking and then clicking Edit Info.

Select from three invitation model types. You can now choose between three invitation model types. If you want to change the type you're using, go to the Account Summary page, click and then click Edit Info.

The types are:

  • Invite Only - Individuals can only be invited by a user with the proper responsibilities.

  • Invite + Realm Account Sign Up Requests - Individuals can be invited by a user with the proper responsibilities and can send a request to create a Realm account. Administrators must approve or decline the request.

  • Open - Anyone can automatically sign up and create a Realm account.

Giving

Think outside the circle. Does the image or logo you use to customize a giving or pledge form not quite fit within the circular border? When you choose an image, adjust the Shape slider to sharpen or round out the frame to your liking.

Realm Redesign

We've updated some areas in Realm! If you don't have any data set up on the pages below, you'll see a new look when you visit them. However, these redesigns affect the empty state version of these pages. So for those of you with data already added in these areas, you won't see any changes.

  • In Check-In we updated the Kiosks and Badges pages.

  • In System Settings we updated the Locations tab on the General Settings page, and also the Notes, Events, and Pathways tabs on the Tags page.

Coming Soon

Realm is getting a new look! After months of research and talking with ministry partners, we're working on an improved design for Realm and its connected applications. Realm's new look will streamline your administrative tasks, provide an intuitive communication solution, and help you learn about other tools that are available to assist you in ministry.
  • Improved navigation. Many of you told us that functions under the "Admin" section are completed by non-admins. So, we're arranging the navigation menu in a more logical way. Don't worry, all of your data will still be safely housed in Realm – it'll just be easier to find!

  • Your Ministry Hub. We're making it easier to locate products and services connected to Realm as well. If you use applications like MinistrySmart, the Realm Connect app, or Accounting, you can quickly switch between them in the new drop-down list. If you don't have these products, you can learn more about them in your new ministry hub.

  • Settings in context. The "General Settings" section you have today holds a lot of different options for different areas of Realm. We're moving those options under the relevant area so you have better control over them.

  • More info to come! This is just a taste of what's coming. Keep an eye out for more information we'll be sending your way. We'll even have a webinar where you can ask questions! Register for the free webinar. (This will be recorded and shared later if you can't make it on June 23 at 2:00 PM EDT.)

Let us know what you think! Check out upcoming improvements in the video. We'd love to hear your feedback on these changes, so feel free to fill out the form at the end of the video.
