New in Realm Office
These new features and integrations give you a better long-term user experience in Realm.
In Realm, it's easier to track staff information on the Personnel tab, as well as business information. Notes let you store information about staff members and congregants inside Realm, without having to use other databases or programs. You can also see when changes and notes were made.
People, Business, and Personnel Profiles
Profiles now consist of three categories- people (or congregants), businesses, and personnel. The Personnel page has tabs for each personnel type (clergy, religious, staff or ministers, staff).
View Search Results by Profile Type
When searching, you can view results by profile type as well as the number of results in each profile type. This helps you find the profile you need quickly.
To view results, click on the profile type.
Formal Label Names
On congregant and personnel profiles, the Full Name now has individual components (Title, First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Preferred Name, and Suffix).
Profiles include display names and individual, family, and contributions formal/informal label name and formal/informal salutation formats. This lets you print contributions statement labels with a formal government name, but printing name tags with a less formal name.
Church, parish, and business profiles have the same name options as before.
Display Preferred Name in Searches
For businesses and churches, Preferred Names display in searches.
For example, you may have several churches with the same name (St. Andrews) in different parts of the state. If you include the city or neighborhood in the Preferred Name (St. Andrews - Charleston and St. Andrews - Park Circle), it's easier to find the specific church when searching.
Integrate with Realm Accounting
Realm Accounting offers the flexibility of both cash and accrual based accounting.
You can set up and organize your Chart of Accounts by listing core accounts with headings for Assets, Liabilities, Net Assets, Revenues, and Expenses, as well as user-defined subheadings.
You can also use Payroll to set up tax accounts, jobs, adjustments, time off, worker's compensation, and more for employees.

Integrate with Planning Center
If you use Planning Center, our new integration lets staff and administrators send profile information, such as names, emails, phone numbers, and dates of birth, from Realm into Planning Center. Your data stays consistent, and you don't have to enter duplicate information.
Once you grant permission for Realm to access Planning Center, you can sync up to 50 profiles. This is a one-way sync, so any changes made inside Planning Center do not transfer back to Realm.
Integrate with Growth Method
Growth Method automatically detects that you use and integrates for you. This integration uses data from Growth Method forms, CSV files, card templates, and shared addresses to add and update family records in Realm. It also determines New Adult Member Status and New Child Member Status in Realm and searches for people in both databases.
Integrate with Go Method
If you use Go Method, it automatically detects that you use Realm and integrates for you.
With this integration, you can allocate tax-deductible donations made by donors versus non-tax-deductible payments made by participants. Plus, new people created in Go Method are created in Realm, and Go Method searches for people in both databases.
Convert Profile Types
You can also convert a church to a business profile, or convert a business profile to a church.
To convert a church to a business profile, run a query to display churches, then in the Select an action... drop-down list, click Change to Business Profile. (office only). When the confirmation message displays, click Change.
Change Log Notes
Realm administrators can now add change log notes to indicate why a change was made. Administrators can view other administrators' notes but can only edit ones they entered.
Even if you merge two duplicate individuals, change log notes display.
Profile Notes
Notes are a great way to stay informed about people with profiles and display in the individual's header. If you have permission to view change log notes, they display here as well.
Track Giving, Notes, and Attachments for Churches
Church profiles now include three additional fields so you can track giving, notes, and attachments. You can also filter a church's giving or add notes or attachments from the church's profile.
Places of Assignment, Position, and Ordination
The Personnel page lets you track information for clergy and other staff members. Some fields you can track include places of ordination for clergy and places of assignment for either clergy or staff.
If the church where a clergy member was ordained has a record in Realm, you can select that on his record.
In addition, if a clergy or staff member is assigned to a church or business (such as a hospice provider), you can select on his or her record as well.
