Use Google or Apple to Sign In to Realm

Once you link your Google or Apple account, you can use it to sign in to Realm.

What does it mean to link Google or Apple accounts to Realm?

This option allows you to link your Realm sign in credentials (email and password) to Google or Apple credentials. Once this is done, you can use either your Realm credentials or Google/Apple credentials to sign in to Realm.

Can someone without a Realm account use Google or Apple credentials?

No. You must first create a Realm account. The next time you sign in, you can then link your Google or Apple credentials to sign in.

Do you have to use Google or Apple credentials to sign in?

No, this is optional. You can continue using your current Realm credentials to sign into Realm.

What happens when you try to sign into Realm using a Google or Apple that is not already linked to a Realm account?

If you try to sign into Realm using a Google or Apple account that is not linked to a profile in Realm, you will be prompted to log in with your current Realm credentials (email and password). After you sign in, your Realm account will automatically link to the Google or Apple credentials you attempted to sign in with. Next time, you will be able to sign into Realm with that Google or Apple account.

Can the Google or Apple sign in options be disabled?

There is no way to disable this. It will display on login screens for all Realm sites.
