Implement MinistrySafe
Once you determine which MinistrySafe courses you want volunteers to complete, you can add users to MinistrySafe, where they'll complete courses.
Determine Which MinistrySafe Courses Fit Your Needs
MinistrySafe provides a comprehensive training framework to help ministry staff members and volunteers recognize and reduce the risk of child sexual abuse.
Since most MinistrySafe training courses have fees associated with them, you'll want to determine which options best fit your ministry's needs and each staff member and volunteer's needs before assigning training.
To see a complete list of options and fees, see the MinistrySafe Help Center article, What Trainings are Offered?.
Add MinistrySafe Users
You can add staff members and volunteers to MinistrySafe using one of two methods:
If you have less than 40 users, you can add them to MinistrySafe individually. To learn more, see How to Add Users.
- If you have more than 40 users, we recommend using batch import to upload each group. To learn more, see How to Batch Upload Users.
After adding a user, they will receive an email to set a password and log into MinistrySafe.
Send Training to Volunteers
Once you add your staff members and volunteers as MinistrySafe users, you can assign training courses to them.
These users receive an email with a link to complete training. You can customize this email to include additional instructions, contact information for administrators in your organization, or deadlines.
View Training Completion
When your staff members and volunteers complete their training, you can view this information in MinistrySafe. To do this, log into MinistrySafe, then click the Notification Bell in the top right corner.
While you'll initiate and complete training and certifications in MinistrySafe, you can use Realm to record information on staff members and volunteers' profiles. For example, you can create a multi-list custom field that lets you check off training as a user completes it. You can include all training titles or just the ones your team requires. You can also set up a Pathway and assign individuals to it, letting you track which training and completion dates.
You can also send your staff members and volunteers a certificate of completion after each course.
