Inquiry

View open and posted transactions for each fund, core account, and optional segments.

Narrow down any budget inquiries to quickly view transactions made for a particular account.

Filter Transactions by Segment

Filter by any combination of fund, core account, department, and either of the two optional segments.

  • You must have accounting administrator or the appropriate accounting specialist permissions to perform this task. See Accounting Roles and Permissions for more information.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your ministry hub then Accounting. Then click Inquiry.
  2. Select the segments that you want to view transactions for.
  3. Optional: If you want to exclude open transactions, clear the Include Open Transactions box.
  4. Optional: If you want to include transactions entered during the 13th month, select Include 13th Month.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Optional: Click the calendar drop-down and select a date range. You can also enter a customized date range in the text boxes, or select dates on the calendar.

Filter Transactions Even Further

Narrow down your inquiry results to locate specific transactions.

  • You must have accounting administrator or the appropriate accounting specialist permissions to perform this task. See Accounting Roles and Permissions for more information.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your ministry hub then Accounting. Then click Inquiry.
  2. Select the segments, such as fund and core account, that you want to view transactions for.
  3. Click Apply.
  4. Click the filter icon.
  5. Enter and select the fields you want to filter by.
  6. Click Filter.

Print an Inquiry Report

Print a report on your inquiry results.

  • You must have accounting administrator or the appropriate accounting specialist permissions to perform this task. See Accounting Roles and Permissions for more information.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your ministry hub then Accounting. Then click Inquiry.
  2. Select the segments that you want to view transactions for.
  3. Click the printer icon, and select one of the following:
    • Inquiry - Summary
    • Inquiry - Detail
    • Inquiry Export (.csv)
  4. A preview of your report displays.
  5. Click the printer icon for a physical copy or Download for a PDF.
    Note:

    Summary vs. Detail

    The difference between an Inquiry - Summary and an Inquiry - Detail report seems small. However, if you have transactions allocated to a project or important comments that need to be visible throughout the lifespan of a transaction, printing a detailed report would be the better option.
