Facility Scheduler Release Notes

11.3B Release

If you're part of the Preferred Client Program, you can download the latest desktop version in the Client Portal.

PDS Facility Scheduler 11.3B, releasing for desktop and OnDemand 3-3-26, offers the following enhancements.

New and Improved Features

Adding and Removing Facilities in a Group

  • Previously, if you added a facility to a group of facilities, none of the scheduled events for the group would be updated. Now, you can choose to include the new facility as part of the group for upcoming events. If you do that, it will create events for the new facility that match the upcoming events of the other facilities in the group! Likewise, if you added a new facility and scheduled it for existing events, then you decide to remove it from the group, you can choose to remove the new facility from upcoming group events.

  • For example, let's say you have a group of classrooms. You discover that whenever someone schedules the classrooms, they almost always need to reserve the media center as well. Instead of always scheduling them separately, you can add the media center to the group of classrooms. When you do that, you're prompted to apply the change to upcoming group events. If you click Yes, new events are added in the media center for all upcoming dates. Similarly, if you remove the media center from the group, you're prompted to delete any upcoming events for the media center. In either situation, you can print a list of the scheduled/deleted events for your reference.

Search for Special Days
  • Looking for a certain special day? You can now search the Special Days & Holidays list for a certain day name or date. When you search by Day Name, it displays all the dates you have for that special day. Click one of the dates, then click Lookup/OK.

Predefined Dates for Vietnamese and Holy Day Vigils
  • When you add special dates using the Auto Setup for New Year, there are two new options you can select: Vietnamese and Holy Day Vigils. Click View Dates to see which dates will be added, and select the checkbox to add these.

    Tip: Remember, you can always add custom special days that you want to see on the calendar!
Facility Name in Column Headers
  • On the Daily Schedule, you can now see the full name of the facility when you hover over the column header. This is especially helpful when you're using the Scale to Fit option to see all the events scheduled for the day.

Mass Schedule Progress Bar
  • You'll now see a progress bar when scheduling Masses. This is especially helpful if you're scheduling a whole year at once!

Corrections

We fixed issues that were reported internally to our team, as well as the following issues that affected some of our customers:
  • In certain situations, the Move to Today button was displaying the incorrect date.
  • When deleting an event, the calendar jumped back to an earlier date. Now, it stays on the current date you were looking at.
