Automatic Updating Vs. Individual Entry
Many quick postings and processes prompt you to select either the automatic updating method or the individual entry method. Both methods allow you to select records to post to. The option you select depends on how you want to gather those records.
Automatic Updating Method
Use this method to assign information to a group of families or individuals that have something in common. The selection tabs display and you can build a list of records you want to post to. You can then assign the same information to all records, or enter specific information for each family/individual in your list.
Individual Entry Method
Use this method to enter information for families or individuals you want to identify by name or ID/Env number. This is especially helpful when there is no common piece of information to build a list from. You can then enter the specific information to post to each family/individual.
