Draw a Travel Polygon
Travel polygons map out the travel distance in minutes from a set point on your map.
Travel polygons are a great way to see demographics within a certain drive time of your church, so you can effectively minister to those communities.
- On the Navigation Bar, click Shapes.
- Expand Travel Polygons.
- Select Driving, Walking, or Bicycling.
- Enter your starting point. This can be your church's address, your current location, or a set point on the map.
- Under Select Travel Time, enter the time in minutes you want to represent within your polygon. You can define up to four time contours, each with a different color and for up to 60 minutes. For example, you could define a 10, 15, 20, and 30 minute drive time from your church.
- Select your polygon's Resolution.
- Click Create Shape.
You can zoom in or out on the map, change the map type, view layers, plot people, or build predefined or demographics reports based on your travel polygon.
