Platform Terminology Changes
In a continuous effort to improve your experience, we've been reviewing the language used in MinistryPlatform. A few items stuck out to us, and we want to change those terms to align better with the intended usage.
Moving forward, new customers will see the following changes. None of these changes are mandatory, but we encourage you to update your system if you're able to. That way, when you view the Help Center, training materials, and community posts or work with Support, all of the language will be consistent.
Catholic Instances: Families and Members
For clarity when using MinistryPlatform resources, we recommend you opt in to use this language. To do so, you can submit the form in the email communication you received about this change.
Non-Catholic Instances: Stewardship
For clarity when using MinistryPlatform resources, we recommend you update your system to use this language. First, talk to your IT SPoC about making this change. Then, if you decide to change it, here's how:
- Go to .
- Locate and open the Stewardship page section.
- Click Edit Record.
- Change the Page Section from "Stewardship" to "Contributions".
- Click Save.
To see your change immediately, use the Refresh Cache button in the About dialog box. Otherwise, changes will be applied within 24 hours. For more information on page sections, see the Help Center articles on System Setup Section and Pages.
