Sub-Page Actions

Once you open a record, tabs are available across the top. Tabs (also known as sub-pages) list the pages and records that are related to the record you have open. There is a variety of actions available to you on the sub-page's toolbar. Toolbars vary based on the security roles that SPoCs have provided you, and may vary from page to page.

  • New: Add a new record to that record's sub-page. This actions allows you to add one record at a time.
  • Add: Add new records to that record's sub-page if configured. This actions allows you to add multiple records at a time.
  • Delete: Delete the selected record(s) in the sub-page.

Delete Records in a Sub-Page

CAUTION: Delete with care! This is a powerful tool and should be used with extreme caution. Any data deleted from MinistryPlatform is completely gone. Recovering deleted data requires Professional Services and incurs a cost. As such, this functionality should be limited to users who are trained to use it wisely and correctly.

The Delete action is also available on the page's data grids and record toolbars.

  1. Open the record.
  2. Go to the sub-page, and select the record(s) you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. The affected records, if any, display. These records depend on the existence of the records you're deleting. Select the appropriate option based on what you want to do with the dependent records:
    • Reassign – You can choose a different record to associate the dependent records with.
    • Unassign – You can keep the dependent records but remove the associated with the records you're deleting.
    • Delete – Deletes the dependent records.
  5. Click Delete.
  6. When prompted to confirm the deletion, click OK.

The record is deleted, any outstanding Tasks associated with the record is deleted, and you are returned to the data grid.
