Support Missionaries

Consider the following approach if your church is allowing missionaries, staff, or college campus ministers to gather commitments (pledges) in anticipation of future donations.

Note: This article is not related to Mission Trips or Mission Journeys. This article is about commitments made to full-time missionaries or staff members deployed to places like college campuses who do their own fundraising.
  1. Create a Program from each missionary or staff person.
  2. Create a Pledge Campaign for each missionary or staff person who record commitments (pledges) in advance of donations. Connect the Pledge Campaign to the program you created.
  3. Edit the program you created and assign it to the Pledge Campaign you created.
  4. Add pledges for any donor who commits to provide support. If a family makes such a commitment, select any Head of Household as the donor for that pledge.
    Note: Do not create a Pledge Campaign if you accept donations in the name of the individual, but do not track future commitments. A Program suffices in these instances.
