External Login Authentication

This section houses everything you need to know about how to enable external login authentication to allow your members to log in to the Platform from an outside source like Google or Facebook.

Note: This feature is currently available for the Platform, Widgets, and Connect Suite.

For Platform login, you can set up external login authentication using any of the applications listed below. Click the name of the application you'd like to learn more about!

After you configure each external login authentication, you must recycle the app pool. Don't have access to your server? No problem! If you have Setup Admin set to Yes on your User record, you have a Reset Auth App button on your User Profile. Go to your User Profile, and click Reset Auth App to make the external login authentication option available.

Important: We no longer support external authentication with X (formerly Twitter) or LinkedIn. If you previously configured these, they might still work. However, if you change their configurations, these may no longer work.

Individual User Setup

Users can set up and manage their external identities (social logins) in MinistryPlatform. Click your user profile image in the top-right corner of the Platform, and select User Account. Then click Social Logins, and click a product to link your account. See System & User Resources for additional details.

MinistryPlatform stores these identities on the Identities tab of the User record.
