Create a Batch

Upload a CSV file of congregant information into Growth Method.

  • You must be a Growth Method administrator or a CSV Admin or Worker to do this.
  • You must already have a CSV file template to do this.
You must create a batch to upload congregant information into Growth Method. You can use a CSV file to create a batch if you have a spreadsheet with a lot of information you want to upload, such as new congregant names, home addresses, and contact information.
  1. Click CSV > CSV Batches.
  2. Click Create a Batch.
  3. Click Select to select the template that matches the CSV file you want to upload.
  4. In the Batch Details section, enter the Batch Name and Batch Date.
  5. Click Browse Files to select the CSV file you want to upload from your computer.
  6. Click Create Batch.
  7. When the file finishes uploading, click Clear Completed Tasks.
    Note: This step may take some time depending on the number of entries in your CSV file. You can click off this screen. The process will move on from uploading to reading and then to verification, which requires human interaction. You can refresh the screen to check the current process status.
  8. Resolve any batch discrepancies.
  9. Optional: Once the status changes to complete, you can click on the batch name to audit each entry and compare them to your ChMS.
