Create Reference Questions
References can help verify a person's character, skills, history, and experience. It is important that you ask the right questions to ensure that person is the right person for the job - or, in this case, trip.
- You must be a Go Method admin to do this.
- You must have a reference question category set up.
- You must have an individual type set up for reference questions.
Reference Question Answer Types
Reference questions have five different types. These different types have different available answers, so it is important for you to choose the appropriate question for your references.
Question Type | Description | Example |
---|---|---|
Short Answer | References provide a brief answer to the question. | How would you describe the applicant? |
Paragraph | References provide a longer answer to the question. | Describe the applicant's fellowship experiences. |
Date | References answer the question with a date. | When did the applicant start working for you? |
Single-Choice | References select only one answer to a question. | Does the applicant currently work for you? |
Multi-Choice | References can select several answers to the question. | What characteristics would you use to describe the applicant? Select all that apply. |
