Before Recording

  • Research site ahead of time.

  • Make sure the equipment works and you have the information you need.

  • Plan out your data entry ahead of time – names, dates, information fields, etc.

  • Save files to your computer and upload to Realm Video Media Backup Team Drive. Files should be directly available from a generic location such as desktop, documents, or downloads.

  • Complete a practice run of your recording to make sure you are confident with what you are going to record.

  • Make sure there is only one tab open on the window you are recording.

  • Expand your browser window to full screen.

Review Checklist

  • Does this topic align with our content strategy/approved by PM?

  • Is this the right format/style for the content?

  • Does the video cover the topic/focus from beginning to end?

  • Can the formatting be changed to make it easier for customers to watch?

  • Are supporting images/visuals included where appropriate?

  • Do the tags/transitions align with the audio?

  • Does the tone of the writing work for this type of user/audience?

  • Is the dummy data relevant?

  • Does the title accurately reflect the content?

  • Is the content clear and concise?

  • Include department name, product name or abbreviation, and video title
